Work from Home (Telecommute)

Many companies have begun to introduce telecommuting due to the new epidemic. As a result, the space used as a study at home has often been changed into an office space. It was very interesting that the living environment and the office environment were made up of the same space. I made it a 1:400 scale to provide my actual room as a telecommuting space. The concept extends the theme used in "Shadow in My Room" to create furniture with OHP film, the material of shadow. It is made of achromatic and beige tones that contrast various colours and splendour. The shape of the furniture is characterized by many curves using the shadow shape produced in "Shadow in My Room," and the colour and shape of the shadows that move differently depending on the direction of light are key. It offers new forms of telecommuting, furniture design, and space rearrangement, consisting of a free form of office space, rather than a predominantly furnished study.
It’s really hard to create a new space in the existing space. I propose furniture design by getting ideas from new forms of space utilization and coloured shadows.
